RNKD ("we", "our", or "us") operates the RNKD Padel mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our padel ranking and match tracking service.
We built RNKD to help padel players track their rankings, record match results, and connect with their playing community. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Name and profile photo — to identify you to other players in your community
- Email address — for account recovery and important notifications about your matches
- Phone number (if you sign in via WhatsApp) — to authenticate your account
Playing Data
To provide our ranking service, we collect:
- Match results — scores, opponents, dates, and venue names of your padel matches
- Ranking information — your calculated ranking points and position within your communities
- Community memberships — which groups or clubs you belong to
Technical Information
To keep the app running smoothly, we automatically collect:
- Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version
- Error reports — if the app crashes, we collect diagnostic information to fix bugs (via Sentry)
- Push notification tokens — to send you match reminders and ranking updates
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Calculate and display rankings — your match results are used to compute your ranking within your communities
- Connect you with other players — your profile is visible to other members in your communities
- Send notifications — match confirmations, ranking changes, and community updates
- Improve the app — error reports help us identify and fix issues
- Provide customer support — to help you if you have questions or problems
What we don't do:
- We don't sell your personal information to third parties
- We don't show you advertisements
- We don't track your location in the background
- We don't share your data with data brokers
How We Share Your Information
Your information is shared in the following limited circumstances:
- With other players — your name, profile photo, and match results are visible to other members of your communities (this is essential for a ranking system)
- Service providers — we use trusted services to operate our app:
- Authentication providers (Google, Apple, WhatsApp) to securely sign you in
- Sentry for error tracking and app stability
- Cloud hosting providers to store your data securely
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption
- Passwords are never stored — we use secure authentication through Google, Apple, or WhatsApp
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- We regularly review our security practices
Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your data:
- Access your data — you can view all your information in the app
- Update your profile — change your name and photo anytime
- Delete your account — you can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app by going to Settings → Account → Delete Account. If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing support@rnkdpadel.com
- Notification preferences — control which notifications you receive in the app settings
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile information is deleted immediately
- Your match history may be retained in anonymized form for ranking integrity
- Backup copies are deleted within 30 days
Children's Privacy
RNKD is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of RNKD after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
